The Aquarium:
Your class will be getting a 30 gallon aquarium. The class will have $25.00 to spend on fish. You will plan which fish to buy. Use the Choosing Fish for Your Aquarium brochure to help you select the fish. The brochure tells you things you must know about the size of the fish, how much they cost, and their special needs. Choose as many different fish as you can. Write a letter explaining the fish you chose.

We are so grateful for the money you gave us for the aquarium and with it we bought fourteen fish!
The first type of fish was the Zebra Danio and we got six of those fish. The cost was six dollors since each was one dollor. We bought six because on the brochure we saw that in the Specail Needs Area it said they had to live in schools. A school is a group of four or more fish. So there for we bought more then four. The length of each fish was one and a half and each has to have an inch adeast to swim in so that gave us six inches so far.
The second type of fish was a Guppy and that fish cost three dollors for two fish. We got four because they have to also live in schools. The Guppy is two inches so four would be eight inches so we now have fourteen inches in total .
The last type of fish was theBlind Cave Fish. We got four of those because again they had to live in schools. The cost of this type of fish was two dollors again for each so that brings are total to twenty dollors. Five dollors to spare. The Blind Cave Fish is three inches so all together is would be twelve inches witch brings are total to twenty-six inches and four inches to spare.
Thanks to your generous offer we were able to get all those fish for are new aquarium and all the fish are very happy there.

We made leters and this is what mine looked like:
Dear Mrs.Edwards,
We chose 14 fish with the money you gave us. We had $ 25.00 to start with.
We bought 6 Zebra Danios with $6.00. We bought these fish because they were $1.00 each ,one and a half inches, and they live in school.
We also got 4 Guppies that also live in schools.We got 4 because they were $1.00 and 2 inches long.Also we got these fish because they have beautiful colors.
The next fish was a Blind Cave fish. It was $2.00 each. We got 4 because they live in schools. They are 3 inches long.
Also they all have beautiful colors! With the money left over we had $5.00 left.
Hello Today you are the most important thing that I am focused on and I just want you to know you are special.As most of you most of you know Yesterday my friend LaSonya and I did the new PBL problem The Aquarium and it was so fun.We had to choose as many fish as possible and we had $25 couldn't go over the limit and it took us about maybe twenty minutes and at first I thought it was going to be really hard and then I found out that all we were doing was picking out fish and measuring them!!!O.k. so we had 30 gallons to use and that was turned into 30 inches and then if we had a 4 and a half inch fish we turned it into 5 inches because I mean they would eventually grow and half a inch is not that much growing space.Also LaSonya and I ended up arguing about the same thing and it was so funny and Mrs.Edwards was like hee hee hee hee hee hee hee and I was like hahahahahahahahahahahahaha and LaSonya was like hohoho and like I said It was So funny and like I always say YOU SHOULD TRY IT AND YOU MIGHT LIKE IT SO THERE!!!!We brought a Zebra Danio and we got a school of them which was 4 and 4 guppies and a blind cave fish and that left us with 2 inches and 12 dollors.Oh and start walking around saying queen pickles so I know you read the Aig thinking log
Hello, AND WELCOME TO TODAY'S EDITION OF WACM NEWS
As you all know we are doing an PBL{problem based Learning}. We are working on a Aquarium project. My awsome Best Friend Beonca and I worked together and we had a very stessful discussion. We argued the whole time unti we compromised.We desided to get four Zebra Danios because they are cheap and are very small. I still think that we should get eight Zebras since they are so small and will keep me in my $25.00 budget wich is the name of the project,Budget or Bust. We also got four blind cave fish.
