Perimeter

We have done several activities on the ActivBoard and the laptops dealing with perimeter. Tell me about what you have learned and how you would teach someone else about how to find perimeter. We also talked about the difference in regular and irregular polygons.

Perimeter Pieces

The perimeter is the sum of the with and the hight. The perimeter of my rectangle for example, is 5 inches going upa and down and 4 inches going from side to side. Can you picture my shape? My perimeter for my rectangle is 18 because I am adding the two sides that are 5 and the two sides that are 4 and my sum is 18.You try. Just menchine the with and the hight of your shaape then add them all together and you will see the perimeter.
